Engineering Plastics Testing Equipment
Extrusion plastometer
The extrusion plastometer is designed to determine the melt flow rate (MFR) and melt volume rate (MVR) of thermoplastics according to ISO 1133, ASTM D1238 standards (procedures A, B, and C), ASTM D3364 (for PVC), and GOST 11645. Equipped with a piston displacement sensor and an industrial computer system featuring a touch screen, this device offers precision and convenience in measuring materials' properties.
Model: SL-MF31
Operational Principle:The integrated piston displacement sensor continuously monitors the piston's position within the chamber, allowing for real-time calculation of the extruded polymer volume and MVR in cm³/10min. By weighing the extrudate, the material's melt density and mass flow rate (MFR) in g/10min are determined. For subsequent tests of the same polymer grade with known melt density, the MFR value is directly displayed during the experiment, eliminating the need for weighing. Test results are presented on a color touchscreen, with options to save data to memory, USB flash drive, or print.
