Engineering Plastics Testing Equipment
HDT/Vicat Tester
HDT Test Definition:The HDT (Heat Deflection Temperature) test determines the temperature at which a standard test specimen exhibits a specific deflection when subjected to a bending stress. This test is designed to produce one of the nominal surface stresses as defined by international standards. The HDT test plays a crucial role in both quality control and research related to plastics.
VICAT Test Definition:The VICAT test measures the temperature at which a standard indenter penetrates 1mm into the surface of a test specimen under an applied load. This test is used to differentiate between various types of thermoplastic materials based on their softening characteristics.
The test stand for this model is automatically adjustable.
